Kiwi folk-comedy duo Flight of the Conchords have debuted several new songs during a two-hour show in front of a sold out crowd in Los Angeles.
NME.com reported the celebrated act mixed classic tracks with new songs with witty banter and classic tracks from their HBO television series during the first of two shows at the Los Angeles Orpheum Theatre.
One new song was about Jemaine Clement's ex-girlfriend forming a choir, and featured a friend on back-up vocals.
"This song is so new we don't even know it yet," said Jemaine.
"It's like cookie dough - it's not quite finished but it still tastes great," Bret McKenzie added.
The band finished the set with the classic Business Time, but played two encores, including a new track about angels "doing it" in the clouds, NME.com reported.
"Jesus is our drummer on this one," Jemaine said.
NME.com said tickets for the gigs were being scalped online for $400 each.
The pair, who garnered a cult following thanks to their sitcom, will begin filming a second season of Flight of the Conchords after their short tour.
